Update!

The SAT is over, now I can focus on the important stuff.

I’m really nervous about filming. I asked people if they want to be in it and they said, “yes”. However, I feel when it’s actually time to film they’ll flake last minute. I told them I would pay them in fruit snacks, so I hope that’s enough of an incentive. I’m also nervous because the weather has been pretty crappy recently. Lighting is very important, and a lot of the shots are outside. So I’m praying that it’s sunny days for the next month. I also need to storyboard, which takes a very long time. Storyboarding is a sequence of drawings that represent each shot of a movie. I also have to worry about the equipment I’m using, I want this movie to be top notch. I have the visuals down, but my biggest issue is audio. Audio is one of the most important things when it comes to movies. If I have crappy audio, then the entire movie is doomed. I’ve been working with the library and T. Sarah to look for options, but it’s not looking too hot. On top of everything I have to worry about college applications, my first one is due November 1. There’s a lot going on right now, and it’s very stressful. Sometimes I think I made the wrong decision doing an independent. But I remind myself that this is something that I’ve always  wanted to do. So… I’m going to do it.

  • if you want to be a part of the movie, hit me up. You will be paid in fruit snacks. I could really use the help

I definitely can relate. College deadlines are a total drag. What do you need help with? I’d love to offer my services. (I also love fruit snacks)

I can feel you and your worries and those are things that happen to everyone. And I love your last sentence: “I’m going to do it.” You are not only going to do it but also going to rock it. Can’t wait to see your movie!

I hope you will share one of your own storyboards in your next post. If you can’t work out the audio to your satisfaction, the storyboards will become an important artifact on their own. I suggest you also talk with T. Karl about your sound problems. He may have some suggestions. You could also try an online bulletin board. You aren’t the first low budget film maker with this problem.
