Program stucture – by Chester

This week I worked on the structure of the program. This program for Westtown’s weekend coordinator has 3 layers. The first layer is the interface. The functions of the interfaces are the following:

To take human input, inter-operate the data if it’s simple

To pass on the data to the next layer

To show the data that’s already there

The second layer is the backstage. The functions of the back stage are the following:

To take the data from the interface

To analyze the data

To pass on the data to the next layer

To take data from the next layer and pass on to the previous layer

The third layer is the database:

To store data

To take stored data

The reason I am using a middle layer between the interface and database is that some data need to be formatted in a way to make the database as simple as possible. And those data would be needed to be analyzed when taken out from the data base before been sent away to the interface. It would slow down the interface if all the analyzing worked happened at there.
